Add annotations to your PDF

Review the document and mark what you need.

At a glance

Edit and annotate lets you work with the actions available in the viewer. Adding an annotation is not the same as replacing the document’s original text.

Before you start

Decide whether you need to comment on the PDF or edit its text in another format. To rewrite paragraphs, see PDF to Word.

01

Open the right page

Select the PDF in Edit and annotate. Use the thumbnails to find the page.

02

Prepare the changes

Use the editor controls and review annotation position, content and size. Check the list of changes before saving.

03

Check what was saved

Download the copy and open it to verify that every annotation appears on the intended page. Keep the original.

If something does not go as expected

Covering information with an annotation does not guarantee that underlying content is removed. To remove data, review the dedicated redaction tool and its result.

Before you finish

Every annotation is in place and readable.
