Edit and organize / Step-by-step guide

Put every page in its place

Change the order using thumbnails and review the sequence.

At a glance

Organize pages creates a PDF copy in the order you prepare using the thumbnails. Keep the original to compare both documents.

Before you start

Decide on the reading order: cover, content and attachments.

01

Review the thumbnails

Open Organize pages and select the PDF. Identify pages by their content, not just the printed number.

02

Drag to reorder

Move thumbnails to put pages in the desired sequence. With a keyboard, focus a thumbnail and use Alt plus the up or down arrows. Use Undo if you need to reverse a change.

03

Save and check

Run the tool and download the copy. Review transitions between sections and check that every necessary page is still present.

If something does not go as expected

To rotate, remove or extract pages, open the corresponding tool. Reordering pages does not update page numbers already written inside the document.

Before you finish

The final order matches the thumbnails you arranged.
